Corsair H100 Mod - New Tubes + Coolant = Epic Hyper

About a week ago i started having heat issues with my FX8350 + Corsair H100 Cooler, so i knew something's wrong and I wanted to mod H100 to get even more out of it.

Parts needed:
- Tubes / Pipes 6ID / 8OD (Inner Diamater 6mm / Outer Diameter 8mm)
- Tube Clamps
- ThermalTake UV Coolant (UV coolant glows if UV or Neon light is shown upon it, helps detect leaks + looks cool in transparent tubes)
- Candle + Lighter - This is needed to heat up tubes, so that you can easily slide them on and once they cool, it will make a perfect seal, but make sure not to heat the tube more than your finger/hand can withstand, meaning hold your finger on top of the tube while heating it.

Process + Results:

Testing against H100 Stock:

Stock H100 + 4x 12cm Fans in Push/Pull @ 50-60% Power
FX-8350 Vishera 8-Core @ 4.1ghz
CPU Core with Corsair default Thermal Compound - 17 - 19C Idle / N/A - N/A Load
CPU Core with IC Diamond Thermal Compound - 11 - 13C Idle / 35 - 45C Load
CPU Temp (socket) with IC Diamond Thermal Compound - 33 - 35C Idle 48 - 53C Load

Sethioz H100 + 2x 12cm Fans in Push @ 1700rpm out of 2600rpm (fan speed)
FX-8350 Vishera 8-Core @ 4.1ghz
CPU Core with IC Diamond Thermal Compound - 9 - 12C Idle 30 - 35C Load
CPU Temp (socket) with IC Diamond Thermal Compound - 31 - 33C Idle 42 - 48C Load

As you can see, my mod has significantly decreased the temperatures, even with just 2 fans @ around 60% it still cools a lot better than Stock H100. So WTF Corsair? stop making shit, it took me like 3-4 hours to do this mod and about 5 minutes of planning, while you have 100+ people working on designs and stuff and you still come up with crap, which can be made better.
1. - corsair provides shitty thermal compound that sucks
2. - corsair default tubes are crappy and tiny inside
3. - there's not enough coolant in the radiator / system
4. - coolant is probably cheap crappy coolant (not sure).
5. - there was some plastic shit in the radiator pipe, WTF?!

Bloody Gun3 Mouse - is it safe to use in games?

I decided to try out this mouse as i've heard lot of stuff about it, that it gives you a nice edge in fps games.
Well .. it does, if you work on it enough, it can eliminate recoil on specific gun. I tried this in CS:GO (counter-strike global offensive) and 2-3 shot burst are amazing, all 2-3 bullets go exactly in same place. Full auto fire randomly spreads, so its bit difficult to eliminate full spread, but it will eliminate recoil. I will make some videos later.

Is it safe? Will i get banned?
NO, this is 100% safe to use. Mouse has it's own memory / cores and all the settings will be stored in mouse, if you plug this mouse into another PC, then everything will work. Meaning that you only need software to program the mouse and then you can exit the program and play games. I recommend keeping software closed whenever you play.

Mouse itself is really smooth and feels nice. I highly recommend this mouse, it's cheap and good. I honestly did not expect such good quality out of this mouse.

USB2 vs USB3 cables - Can I use USB2 cable for USB3 device?

USB - Universal Serial Bus is most common cable type nowdays, well at least in computing it is. There's a question i had myself while ago. We should all know that USB3 (5000mbit/s) devices are about 10 times faster than USB2 (480mbit/s), but is there any difference in a cable?
YES, there is difference in cable. if you connect USB 3 device using USB2 cable, then your device will not have USB3 speed, it will be considered as USB2. It works fine, so lot of people may get confused and say "it works"!. Yes it works, but it will not give you USB3 speed. I tested this out with my External USB3 HDD, it pulls the speeds of 200mb/s read and write with USB3 cable, then i connected a small USB2 extension cable between HDD and PC and speed dropped to 40mb/s.

But you said 10 times faster?! ..yes USB3 is capable for such speeds, but HDD isn't! Meaning that 200mb/s is HDDs max speed, that was just test to see if USB2 cable gives USB3 speed for USB3 devices and it didn't.
If you don't have USB3 (most PCs nowdays have it), then you can still use USB3 devices, but they'll be slow and far from their potential. I have tested Leap Motion using USB2 cable and it works, but it's sluggish and laggy.
so if your PC does not have USB3 port, then you should buy USB3 adapter/card, you can grab one for very cheap on eBay (just search for "USB3 card" or "USB3 adapter"), they're usually for PCI-E slots.

Here's also a picture of USB connectors and their layouts, as you can see below, USB3 has more wires, so USB2 can never act as USB3, but USB3 can always be used for USB2 devices, in other words, it's backwards compatible.

Hope this makes sense and explains everything you need to know about USB2 and USB3, now we just have to wait for USB4 :)

GFWL = Gays for Windows Live

Games for Windows Live (GFWL) = Gays for Windows Live
Because now that they discontinued the whole service and stopped it, people can't play their games anymore that rely on GFWL, including Batman, GTA IV, DiRT3 ..etc

ArmA3 Zeus - Official DLC (Mod) Now out!

This DLC is called ZEUS for a reason, you can become a GOD, the ultimate game master who controls the entire battlefield in a way he/she sees fit.
Zeus has the power to create and destroy, you even get ability to possess A.I. units or shoot lightning bolts at anything you wish (however there is a timer on how often you can shoot lightning).

There is only 1 slot for Zeus and 1 for moderator (not sure what it does).
as Zeus, you are in control, while other players fight for survival, you can spawn in A.I. units to cover players or make them attack players, there are 4 sides, BluFor, OpFor, Independent and Civilian.

Zeus mode is basically live map editor, you have the same powers as in map editor, you can even spawn buildings and build entire city or destroy one. You can customize weapon crates, spawn them, create missions ..etc ..etc
As said, you have same power as in map editor, only its way easier and simplified. It's simply EPIC DLC and its FREE!!

Download : ZEUS is official DLC and it should download with latest ArmA3 patch (10.apr.2014), which is about 500mb and it will be available under "Scenarios" in single player and in multiplayer you can join any server running Zeus or just create new session and it will be listed as a mission.
If on some reason it does not show up in-game, then check out ArmA3 Workshop on steam.

How to Install & Use RoG Connect

What is RoG Connect?

RoG (Republic of Gamers) Connect is awesome system meant for gamers or for those who like to tweak their PC to the edge and even over with just push of a button and in real time, without going into BIOS and making changes in there. It's so called tech of tomorrow, even tho it's been out for a while (1-2 year/s).
as far as i'm aware, only Asus motherboards support RoG.
RoG enabled motherboards have a special RoG USB port, that can be used either as RoG port or normal USB 2.0 port.
RoG software allows you to control your PC via other PC / netbook / laptop or even Smartphone via bluetooth (not all RoG enabled motherboards support bluetooth).

What? Where? Why? OMG!

There are the questions i've had myself and seen elsewhere:
1. WHAT software i need to install? (and from where? Asus website? or RoG?)
2. WHERE do i install the software on? RoG is suppose to control my PC on hardware level, even when windows is not running, so i assume i don't need it on main pc??? so i need it on other pc / laptop / netbook?
3. WHICH steps to take in order to get it up and running.
4. is there a RoG switch on motherboard ?? (some fucking RETARDS are blabbering about RoG switch, but in reality there is BUTTON not a fucking switch, so it confused me)

How to Install, Connect and use RoG

- First you need to download RoG Software HERE

-- Since it was very confusing for me, first choose your product, then click on "Driver & Tools" choose your OS (not important, choose win7 64-bit) and then under "Utilities" you will find the "RoG Connect" and "RoG Connect Plus". There are more than 1 version, just take the latest, i know, its CHAOS on that website, but try to find them.
- Now to get your PC and netbook (other device) ready, you need a USB cable "male to male" (provided by RoG Enabled motherboards). Connect the RoG cable (any USB male to male should work), one end into your motherboard's RoG port (usually white USB port at back of your PC) and other end into any USB port on your other PC / netbook / laptop.

- In your RoG enabled PC, boot into BIOS and find the RoG connect, i'm not 100% sure where it is, just go thru the BIOS and you'll find it, it's somewhere under advanced for me, every BIOS maybe different. It says RoG Connect Status or something to do with RoG, you can change it there, enabled, disable, normal usb or something like that, make sure it's ENABLED.
- Now at back of your PC, check that RoG button has been pressed (it's the button with 2 chain links on it, see the picture above if in doubt, where it says RoG Connect ON/OFF switch). Well its fucking confusing, because switch is something different, it's a fucking button, button is what you press, switch is what you flip from side to side .. fucking morons get your terms right. Anyway, without the rage now, press the button so that it's GREEN.

- You need to install "RoG Connect" software on your other PC / netbook, so go ahead and install it. Now you should be able to run that software on your other device and it should be able to connect fine.

- For more features and functionality you can install "RoG Connect Plus" on your PC (where your RoG Enabled motherboard is in). I can't help here, because that software crashed on my Win7 64-bit.

So conclusion is that you do not need any special software at all on your RoG enabled PC.

Watch Dogs is coming .. it's near !

Watch Dogs will be released on 27th May 2014, it's close, less than 2 months. This game seems absolutely awesome and something we have never seen before, but is it? Will this game really be the future of gaming?

I have my doubts, but I'll pre-order it for sure, now that its on steam, it's easy to get it.
Let's talk about my doubts, well they recommend having eight core i7 (wtf? didn't know they exist), well guess some typo, but they recommend i7-3770 or AMD FX8350 (that's what i got) and 8gb of RAM, but only GTX560ti video card, that's bit scary that they recommend such crap graphics card, makes me think .. what sort of graphics will it have then? Maybe well optimized? Splinter Cell Blacklist has awesome graphics and it runs like a dream on my PC. Well ultra lags a bit, but turning down some shadows and anti-aliasing will get 60fps easy.

Ubisoft has always been known to make good games, except Assassins Creed (i've never played it myself), i've heard that AC series has/had lot of bugs.

Anyway, as soon as Watch Dogs comes out, i will start making Single player Walkthrough and will do some online action with friends (whoever buys and wants to join me). So 28th - 30th you can expect my first videos of Watch Dogs @ my YouTube Channel
